From the Pastor's Corner:
Greetings in the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ! I pray you have had a wonderful summer. We have been
blessed with lots of hot weather and some showers of blessings.
We at Poovey’s Chapel have been very busy this summer with
lots of opportunities to serve the Lord. It is wonderful to live
for Jesus. When you and I give our life to Christ, we enlist to
live our life for Him everyday. Jesus gives us life by His salvation
then He leads us into a life that can be blessed if we will simply
follow Him. When Jesus began His earthly ministry, He took His followers
out on the bank of the sea and began to teach them how to live.
They learned that they can be blessed while walking through this
world. Jesus told them how they could be totally full and satisfied
all their life. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and
thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. The Lord tells
us that we are to have an appetite for His things.

When we are hungry we
began to look for what can satisfy our hunger. If we get thirsty
we start seeking for something for something to quench our thirst.
True hunger and thirst can bring us to desperate measures. If we
really have a hunger and thirst we will desire to satisfy that need.
The hunger and thirst Jesus is talking about is a desire for God
to have all our life. This desire does not just happen it comes
when we commit our life to Jesus. When you and I commit our heart
to Christ, He gives us a desire to follow Him. The desire to follow
Jesus with our life gives us the opportunity to be truly satisfied
in our heart. Hungering and thirsting after righteousness, is us
desiring to be right with the Lord in every area of our life then
allow Him to fill our life with His presence. He promises that we
shall be filled. The word filled means to be overflowing. He will
satisfy every heart that will follow Him and commit our heart to
Him. Do you need the Lord in your life? He promises if you will
ask Him to forgive you of your sins and came into your heart, He
will save you and give you a desire to follow Him. Jesus died in
our place on the cross for our sins, they buried His body and then
on the third day, He arose from the dead! Jesus simply ask us to
commit our life to Him and come take up our cross and follow Him.
Let’s follow Jesus, His path leads to blessings in this life
and Heaven forever. God bless you, as you live daily in His path.
He will satisfy your every need.
In Christ,
Pastor Nicky
