From the Pastor's Corner:

God is good! We are so blessed! Count your blessings! These are the titles of just a few songs that remind us to be thankful to God for His blessings in our life. There are times that the experiences of life seem to cloud our vision from seeing the blessings of God. It is easy when we are going through difficult times to forget the blessings of the Lord. Hard times cause our focus to change and our hearts to forget. There is one thing the Lord continued to remind the Children of Israel as they journeyed through life and that is: Beware lest thou forget! Daily we need to remember the things God has done for us. Taking time to remember His blessings gives us the opportunity to realize that God is always faithful in every situation. 

The Lord promised He will never leave us nor will He ever forsake us. In our trials we need to remember that we are never alone and that God will provide. Our founding fathers held these truths very dear to their heart as they stepped out in faith to find the place they could freely worship the Lord. This month we will take time to give thanks for God’s blessings on us just as they did many years ago. They gave thanks not because of the many things they had but that God was with them. We must take time to give thanks that we can trust the Lord with everything in our life. God is always faithful and He will take care of us as we trust in Him. Being thankful lifts our hearts to faith in the Lord and His plan for our life. We can thank the Lord that He promises that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. He promised that His grace is sufficient for us at all times. This Thanksgiving let’s live a thankful life by giving our heart and life to Jesus. Remember Jesus loves you and He wants to bless you every day! God bless you.
